Carving a compelling story out of raw footage, and collaborating with creative professionals are the two things I love most about editing. It’s about finding the emotional beats, and being true to the director’s vision.
After film school, I got my start as an assistant editor, then began cutting narrative features in the family entertainment genre and editing commercial spots for national audiences. From there, I worked on a CBS dramatic series and episodic content for National Geographic Channel and Discovery. The IMAX film ROAR: Lions of the Kalahari, produced by National Geographic Films earned the Best Editing award at the Jackson Hole International Wildlife Film Festival.
Since moving to Nashville from Los Angeles, I’ve continued to edit a wide range of formats: independent narrative features and shorts, docuseries, PBS documentaries, documentary-style promos and branded storytelling. I care deeply about craft, collaboration and telling stories that are emotionally honest and genuinely human.
Lori is not only a talented editor, she understands the soul of the story. That’s a talent. And she has it in spades.
